Marc Menet, Cinematographer

I am a Chicago based freelance cinematographer and member of the International Cinematographers Guild. As a kid, I was an avid photographer and cinephile who also happened to love math and physics. Cinematography was a way to connect all of these passions into a career that I love. I studied cinematography at Columbia College in Chicago and did my graduate work at DePaul University's Digital Cinema Program.

I have worked professionally as a cinematographer and camera operator in film and tv for more than fifteen years. My work has appeared on a variety of Networks including Showtime, National Geographic, History Channel, Weather Channel, Animal Planet, VH1, NBC, Fox, Fox Sports, PBS, BET, Discovery and more.

In addition, films I’ve shot have appeared in well over a hundred film festivals and many of the feature films I shot have been distributed internationally. It never gets old seeing posters of movies you’ve shot in other languages. I do commercial work for a number of fortune 500 companies and have lensed more than fifty music videos with millions of views between them.

I love to teach as well and have taught Production, Cinematography, Editing, Visual Design and VFX courses at Columbia College as well as DePaul University.

I am always looking for new projects and would love to hear from you about your upcoming work.
